The song ends a little abruptly for my taste, but I can certainly see your influences shine through here in an enjoyable fashion. Most everything sounds sampled, which isn't inherently bad and I can't use that against you in any form of fairness since we're all most likely independent artists with limited access to resources. :P I do feel, though, that the piano part moving as quickly as it does in its solo feature doesn't really work as well as I feel like it should, whereas it does with the guitar because that's the timbre of the instrument. If the piano were given more solo room to breathe, I think it would've worked better, but since the song is so compact, there's very little...well, proverbial breathing room. But I enjoyed it, and that's overall what matters most.

Cilmeron responds:

I completely agree about the limited access to resources but it's a shallow excuse because I've seen some people to amazing stuff with even less than I have. I'm just not particularly good at making electronic instruments (my computer or the software more specifically) play the music in a particularly natural matter... I try though. Anyway thanks for the feedback and I'm glad if you enjoyed it.

Just really not feeling that bass synth. It really drags down the rest of the track for me. The hi-hats feel very basic, as well--not that that's a bad thing, but I feel like more could've been done to make it sound more unique. The dub part of the dubstep is very present, and I really like that. The ambient lead is a win in my book. The overall feel, this previously spooky atmosphere to it is also ultimately enjoyable, but it just doesn't modulate enough to keep me interested for four minutes. If the bass synth were relegated to a sub bass frequency range and other synths were put in the occupy the space left behind, I feel like this could've definitely enriched the song considerably more. It is clear you put considerable effort into it, though, and it sure sounds like it. The effort just didn't really do it for me, though.

Hmm... i enjoy the part where you said you liked it, then changed your opinion last second. Oh well, thanks for telling me what to improve on though.

I would love to be able to have a day this good again sometime soon. It at the very least makes me remember when I had good days. You at least had a good day, though, and yeah, that really does show. This is a really nice song to listen to. It's nice and short, too, so the novelty of a guitar-only song doesn't overstay its welcome. It sounds like this might've been done in all one take, to boot. So, extra props on that. There's just the right amount of reverb, too. Great stuff.

Lublub194 responds:

All one take :)

You'll have a good day soon. It's bound to come back around for all of us. It took me a good 4 years, but I'm back to myself.

Best of luck for you!

This is the kind of song that is just right up my alley. Got a nice little groove to it that you can nod your head to, and plenty of ambiance for you to just chill out and relax to instead if you please. I love that lead synth, too. I feel like it could've used a bit more fine tuning effects-wise to really bring out its full potential, but the sound is fantastic. Awesome job overall, mate, and a pleasure to listen to.

K-Pone responds:

Glad you like it. I like that lead synth as well. Thanks for the review

A little repetitive, but I didn't mind it that much because you changed things up just enough to hold my interest the entire way through. The song, at least on my end, ends rather abruptly, so that's kind of jarring. A little bit of silence or something of the sort at the end would've been something I would've gone with. The guitar solo was a nice touch, especially if you recorded it yourself, but it still sounds great regardless. It's not overly prominent either, and instead fits in pretty well with your mix. Overall, props, mate.

keepmyheadinthecloud responds:

Thanks for the review. Yeah guitar solo was me... and true, got a bit lazy at the end :).

I don't currently own a full version of Flash; I am, however, an electronic musician, so I will probably upload some of my music here that I'm actually halfway proud of. PopoZäo.
